The honor recognizes not only the company’s deep local roots but also its recent strategic growth, including four acquisitions in the past year and the opening of a new branch in Northern Kentucky.

The Business of the Year Award, presented annually by the Greater Springfield Partnership, recognizes a local business that exemplifies outstanding growth, leadership and community impact. The honor is bestowed on a company that not only achieves business success but also demonstrates a commitment to strengthening the Greater Springfield region through innovation, investment and service.

  • Anchor Vending LLP: This acquisition, completed in January 2024, added 200 vending machines and expanded Sheehan Brothers’ Dayton routes, allowing the company to grow its vending segment locally. The addition of technology to Anchor’s superior service ensures a lasting, enhanced customer experience.

  • Regal Beverage Concepts: Sheehan Brothers acquired 150 customers from Regal in May 2024. This partnership between two family-owned businesses helped grow Sheehan Brothers’ coffee division while offering Regal’s customers new vending and micro market services, strengthening both companies.

  • AYSV: Also acquired in May 2024, AYSV marked Sheehan Brothers’ largest acquisition to date, with 22 employees and six vending/micro market routes served. This acquisition resulted in the opening of a new branch in Florence, Kentucky and an expanded service territory, with the potential to reach Southern Kentucky and Indiana, while continuing to service the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas.

  • Advantage Food & Beverage Accounts: In July 2024, Sheehan Brothers purchased five accounts from Advantage Food & Beverage, growing its micro market and coffee division in the Cincinnati area. This acquisition continued to foster a long-standing competitive and supportive relationship between the two family-owned businesses.
